At Advanced Colleges of America, data security is of the utmost importance. The software and online services used by Advanced Colleges of America are maintained with the most advanced data security technologies available to date.
World Class Learning Management System:
The ACA Learning Management System (LMS) maximizes the educational experience for its students, while offering maximum security. It is an easy to use and advanced platform with access that is password protected, and has a full disaster recovery plan and risk analysis. In cooperation with its data center provider, Oslo University, a range of measures are in place to prevent a complete system breakdown. These measures include:
> Two completely separate power supplies from two different providers;
> Redundant network connections;
> Strict access control;
> Fire extinguishing systems designed not to harm hardware or infrastructure;
Fully Integrated Student Information System:
ACA’s Student Information System (SIS) utilizes some of the most advanced technology for Internet security available today. This SIS uses industry standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology; information is protected using both server authentication and data encryption, ensuring that data is safe, secure, and available only to registered users in our organization. Data will be completely inaccessible to anyone else. ACA’s SIS provides each User in our organization with a unique username and password that must be entered each time a user logs on. ACA’s SIS issues a session “cookie” only to record encrypted authentication information for the duration of a specific session. The session “cookie” does not include either the username or password of the user. ACA’s SIS does not use “cookies” to store other confidential user and session information, but instead implements more advanced security methods based on dynamic data and encoded session IDs. In addition, ACA’s SIS is hosted in a secure server environment that uses a firewall and other advanced technology to prevent interference or access from outside intruders.
Electronic Document and Signature Processing:
ACA’s Electronic Signature Software is the leading web-based and on-premise e-signature solution, enabling users to obtain both written and verbal authorizations. ACA’s Electronic Signature Software provides the most integrated and feature-rich APIs available. With unique, patent-pending technology, ACA’s Electronic Signature Software allows for the execution of any document with forensically identifiable, biometric signatures or typed ‘certified’ signatures.
